Awww, thanks. When we first talked about Nani's trip home, I never imagined how long 3 months could be. It's actually been just 6 weeks since I came back from Ethiopia and it feels like I haven't seen my wife and my baby for the longest time. My world will be whole again once I have them back home. All that said, Nani enjoyed the time with her family so much - it's been three and a half years since she left home to live here with me - and her family has had a chance to meet and bond with Naomi.

Update: Nani just called from Dulles Int'l. No issues with immigration or customs whatsoever - just a courteous "Welcome Home" from the officer. She's got an hour before her flight to Tampa leaves. She's tired, of course, but said that Naomi was the nicest little baby on that 18+ hour haul from Addis to DC. Well behaved and very happy. We think she knows that she's coming home. She started about two days prior to departure to say bye-bye to everyone in Addis. Not sure how she figured it out but I suppose the travel preps, the packing and all gave her enough of a clue that she'll be leaving and coming back home. Nani said that Naomi has been incredibly happy the last few days in Addis - must be a sixth sense or something.

Anywho, gotta get prepped to go pick them up at the airport.

my husband was only gone 2.5 weeks and it felt like forever so i can imagine what three months felt like to u. really it makes coming home even nicer.

what tracker did u use. i tried every one i could find and none of them would track his flight for some reason.

The one that worked best - with some delay initially in reporting the departure from Rome - was at http://www.flytecomm.com . Most tracking services only work off of FAA data which means they won't have your flight until it gets reasonably close to US airspace. Some won't track the more exotic airlines at all.

For US flights, I usually use http://www.flightview.com. You can actually watch the flights move on that one.
