If anything this article should have an opposite effect in that it is MUSLIM students who are objecting to even reading ABOUT this stuff. No, that's not it at all. Nobody is saying that ALL muslims are bad. What is concerning is that people in authority are teaching this and while it is reassuring that some of the students are condemning this talk, it is more concerning that others may suck this talk up and become haters when they weren't haters before. We aren't concerned about the 10 million peaceful muslims, we're concerned about the 10,000 extemists.

It isn't the same to compare this with "stoning" in the Bible. I mean, who is actually actively teaching that, and more importantly, who in the modern world is actually teaching this, or anything resembling this? This is a passage in the Bible that is ignored by all modern Jews and Christians as they read it to themselves. I'm afraid I cannot accept that all modern muslims are ingoring statements made from their leaders though.

He said that, although the book was a key work in the jurisprudence class, its prescriptions were not taught as law. When he taught from it, he omitted the impurity chapter, he said.

but does not directly accuse the lecturers of teaching it. Which is why I mentioned the passages in the Old Testament that condoned stoning. As stated, no one teaches them either. But the passages are there for any student of a Christian school to read.

Whilst "eye for an eye" Christians gleefully murder doctors who perform abortions, what leads you to suspect that modern Christians are more enlightened today than modern Muslims? Last point: if non-Christians condemned the teaching of the Old Testament in Christian schools due to the passage I have indicated - whether it was being taught or not - would that similarly be acceptable?

If people were out there actually teaching people to stone people to death for committing sins that are not crimes because the old testament says to do it, then yes, it would be totally acceptable for non-Christians to condemn them. Heck, it would be acceptable for Christians to condemn them, but the thing is- nobody is teaching that.
