Salutations to the good people of VJ, I am happy I found this web page. Well let's get to it; I am a USC who got married to a lovely man and I we are going through the AOS process(actuaaly almost through with it if you ask me) but here are my concerns:

1- We had our initial interview on Nov 28, 2007in Atlanta and the IO verbally approved my husband for a GC and took his I-94 out of the passport, but we haven't received any news from USCIS for 30 days now(no touches, no updates, no emails,...nothing)

2- With that said, last week (Dec 22)we received a wierd Notice of approval for the I-130, which I believe we already received a long while ago before the interview. Thus prompting my confusion and cause for concern.

Is this commonplace for this office or is it really strange and thus calls for immediate action(infopass)? Thanks in advance for any comments and/or replies.

Being over 30 days from your interview alone would make me get an infopass. I got worried when 2 weeks passed and I had no touches, but in the 3rd week we got the approval emails and the GC card in the mail.

Our IO at interview told us if we didnt get anything in 30days to go back, so I'd recommend the same for you and schedule an infopass to see what's going on.

Dear VJ nation I'm glad to announce that my hubby's PR card has been ordered today according to the CRIS email, THANKS TO ALL OF Y'ALL, even those whom never replied to my post, but most importantly THANKS TO THE ALMIGHTY GOD. Till my hubby decides whether to apply for citizenship or not, our long and tortuous journey is over. Cherio

We received the I-130 notice of approval right before we got our green card. I think it's a good sign (our I-130 was approved at the interview along with AOS) but since it's been over 30 days I'd make an infopass.

this is the way the world ends

this is the way the world ends

not with a bang but a whimper
