I just thought i'd share a quick update... Now that we have the K-1 visa, today my fiance is en-route to the US so that we can get married in April! He is currently somewhere over the Atlantic Ocean on his way to be with me, and I am so happy and excited and anxious I could burst! I'm at work and trying to concentrate but it's tough... Knowing that all our stress and worry and planning is finally getting him HERE to be with me is an indescribable feeling. I hope that everyone here gets to know this feeling very soon- it's one of the best feelings, and definitely one I won't forget anytime soon!:wub: :energetic:

Congratulations!!!

Did everyone wait for the fingerprints to clear before getting the approval or the actual visa? Or do they choose random people to do this fingerprint check? Or do they only do this check on people who have some reasons? (I have never committed any crimes in my life :S)

I can't speak for everyone, but when I did mine, just this past Tuesday, the guy said 'thank you; your visa's approved' and then said something about subject to the fingerprint thing coming back ok... since everything else you described was almost exactly what I went through I'd imagine it's a formality for everyone, just part of the process... perhaps to check you haven't been involved in any crimes since the last police check, or something...?

anyway, the guy who did my interview definitely saw it as an approval :)

The Very Secret Diary of Legolas Son of Weenus - by Cassandra Claire

Day One: Went to Council of Elrond. Was prettiest person there. Agreed to follow some tiny little man to Mordor to throw ring into volcano. Very important mission - gold ring so tacky.

Day Six: Far too dark in Mines of Moria to brush hair properly. Am very afraid I am developing a tangle.

Orcs so silly.

Still the prettiest.

Day 35: Boromir dead. Very messy death, most unnecessary. Did get kissed by Aragorn as he expired. Does a guy have to get shot full of arrows around here to get any action? Boromir definitely not prettier than me. Cannot understand it. Am feeling a pout coming on.

Frodo off to Mordor with Sam. Tiny little men caring about each other, rather cute really.

Am quite sure Gimli fancies me. So unfair. He is waist height, so can see advantages there, but chunky braids and big helmet most off-putting. Foresee dark times ahead, very dark times.

Thanks for the reply. My lady told me that my visa will be approved once the fingerprint check clearance comes back and said it would take 1-5 days. I did some research and fingerprint check result comes back within 24-48hrs. Maybe it's a procedure everyone goes through. I don't know. Did you get your passport delivered yet?

Ahhhh - getting sooo jealous! I just want to get mine done and out of the way cause I know I am going to get soooo stressed about it!!!

Hello guys i had an interview today 10Am same as described londonuk but the guy took my fingerprint twice and after that a nice lady took my interview she also said something about fingerprint approval but she congratulate me and told me that this visa is only for one entry then i paid £14 and now iam waiting for my flight to scotland it was nice and easy although.

I think we had the same two people. Can you post your update once you get your passport back? I'll do the same. Just want to see if mine is getting significantly delayed or if it's just a regular procedural thing. Bit worried...

congratulations to recent approvals!! :D :D

I should have got my passport today, but the courier company farked up

they tried to make me wait til Monday but I THINK I managed to get them to organise it for tomorrow... guess we'll see

either way, obviously I have a visa, which just makes me more sure that the 'subject to fingerprints' things is so much formality ;)

plus, I'm pretty sure I wore gloves on every one of my break and enters...

:P;)

Well, that is a bummer indeed! Hopefully it will all be sorted tomorrow in a timely fashion. Once the visa is in hand, what are your plans for the big move?

Gratzies!!! I will try and get a chance to update the webpage with questions etc - if anyone has any questions and answers they were asked at interview then please pm me where I am less likely to overlook them - have been out of touch the past few weeks so haven't managed to check through ;)

And I want to hear from StP!!!

Here are the questions to practice for those who will be going to the interview soon. I gathered them from this thread.:)

What is your name?

Please raise your right hand. Do you swear to tell me the truth …

Do you answer all my questions today truthfully …..?

What is your Fiancé's Name?

how did you meet?

Do you remember when that was?

Have you seen much of each other in person?

What does your fiancé do for a living

When was the last time I saw my fiancé

How many times did he visit?

where do my fiancé's parents live

If he lives alone?

Was my fiancé's married before ?

Have you been married before ?

Does My fiancé have children?

Do you have children?

Any relatives in US?

Have you ever been to the USA?

When and where did he propose?

Why will you live in the US as opposed to the UK?

When are you hoping to move to the USA?

story behind those pictures ……

how many times I had been to the US
