No problem! I really can't imagine how we'd have got through this process without this site and the wonderful people on it, it is nice to be part of it and know you can be a little bit helpful for others! We are excited too! Below is a list of what we returned with packet 3, hope it helps!

This is all of what we sent in from packet 3

The check list from the instructions as well as....

DS-2001

DS-230 part 1 (pages 1-2 only)

DS-156 in duplicate (DO NOT SIGN)

DS-156K

DS-157 (you may not need this form, it says for all males 16-45 or anyone 16 and over with a passport from china, cuba, iran, libya, north korea, russia, sudan or syria

SAYS DO NOT WRITE BELOW THIS LINE...SO IT WAS SENT IN UNSIGNED.

I would try the letter from the GP for sure! If the depression was due to circumstances I am sure you'll be fine! My So said the medical was a breeze and the doctor was really nice...I think it must have been the same Doc. that WeeDebz had.

Thank you so much again! I know I am just suffering the pre-interview nerves - this stuff didn't even occur to me until we got our NOA2. It is helpful though to hear people's opinion especially when you are worried about a particular aspect of the process. There's few people outside of VJ I can discuss this stuff with. So thank you for your reassuring words and advice on what to send off to them when Packet 3 arrives. :)

Congratulations also to Courtney and her fiance!!

Yeah! It's really a major snooze to anyone that's not going thru it themselves...friends and family ask questions but they really only want a quick one word answer...you can see the *UUgghhh why in the hell did I ask about that!* look in their eyes!

While we are no where near finished with the red tape...at least we'll have a closer to normal life soon!

Cheers.

Yeah, my family made the mistake of asking me, "So what do you have to do for him to move here?"...and then the litany began...my mom has gotten quite patient with the whole thing, and my dad just gets this glazed expression on his face (strangely enough, it's the same look that he gets when my mom is trying to explain something to him....)...my brother and sister-in-law (both work in law enforcement) keep threatening to do background checks on him (like they'd find anything)...

Tasha, are you going to stay up in London? Maybe we can meet up before or after your interview? It takes me about an hour by train into London.

Also Tash, what did you decide to do about the missing marriage certificate? I don't have Marty's one either. What did you write in the checklist? I didn't tick it, but I said it was surrendered in order to receive the divorce certificate. I'm getting nervous... I sent off for my Australian Police certificate today. If I'd known the extra ten days were going to cause me so much hassle in a few years, I wouldn't have spent the extra time there (I was in Oz for 6 months, 10 days).

Congrats to all the recent approvals!!! :D And congrats to Julezabelle!!

Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner Lisa! I have only just seen your message there!

Yes, I am staying in London... I am flying from Cornwall on the morning of the 4th (That's when my medical is now, they didn't have the space on 3rd...) Then I have to get from Stansted to the docs by 1pm... Not sure where I am going! Argh! Then I am staying at a friends (He lives in North London) and have my interview at 10am on 5th March, I will then be getting the train home on 6th March. So yes! Definitely up for meeting for lunch or something? Let me know which day you are free!!

Also, I have been told that I don't need the marriage certificate. If I had have been married then I would have needed mine. But I don't need to show Chris's. The divorce documents are enough proof :D

I know what you mean about being scared. I am flippin petrified... lol

Such a relief to hear about the not-needed marriage certificate! I was pretty sure I didn't need it, but why don't they just make it more clear on the checklist?????????????

I work at 6pm on the 4th, 5th and probably the 6th March (my schedule only goes up to the wednesday, but it's really flexible). Will your friend meet you after the interview? If not, we could go for lunch then. Hopefully we'll be celebrating! If you have plans for then, I can definitely make the other days too. I'll email you my mobile number.

Lisa and Marty

Packet 3 received - Feb 7th 2008

Packet 3 returned - Feb 8th 2008

Medical scheduled - Feb 25th 2008 (I could have had it sooner, but I needed time to chase down my immunisation records).
