NOA2 16th DECEMBER!!!!!!!

Posted

I wonder if someone could shed some light on this for me as I am begining to have a little panic and as most of you are at interview stage I hope that you dont mind me asking

Story is I am waiting for my NOA2 got the NOA1 30th June and on my timeline I should get it adjudicated mid November.

I wont be able to move to the States till March time, due to obligations here. So I have booked a flight to the States to spend Christmas with my other half, with the plan of not sending back packet 3 till January. I have just seen that someone who also filed in June (from the Ukraine) has got there NOA2 and received packet 3 with their interview date, I have looked at the US Embassy page and it says that on receipt of packet 3 they will issue the interview so I am a bit confused

So what I would like to know is, does the US Embassy here give you an interview date before they receive packet 3 back, fingers crossed they dont

If I get packet 3 in November/December is it going to cause a problem if I send it back at the begining of January

I am worried that I have just bought a return ticket that I will not be able to use.

Thanks in advance for any help anyone can give me on this

I was on the understanding that once you sent back the forms from packet 3 the interview date would soon after.

So was I from what I have read, but I have now seen a couple of times that interview dates have been given before packet 3 returned but they were not from the UK, so I just wanted to get it clarified.

So hopefully that is not the case in the UK

Do you know if there is a time limit in which to return the packet 3? I was going to send it the day I got back from my visit 5th Jan. I may be panicing prematurely as I might not even get packet 3 before I go, you just dont know.

thanks for the quick reply

I don't know if the dates (usually 4mths) on the NOA2 have anything to do with it. Though I have heard the embassy will extend the date by another 4mths if need be.

I cant begin to thank you enough for getting back so quickly

So now I can relax as I will be withing the 4 months even if I get my N0A2 next week I will be ok and within the 4 months so panic over till the next time, I just did not want to think of all the money I would have wasted on my flight. Just seems strange that the American Embassy in different countries work differently. Thanks for clearing it up

Shaz, like other people have said, your NOA2 has an initial 4 month expiry period, so on the assumption you're approved in November, don't even sweat about sending P3 until after Christmas if that's how you want to play it, OK? And I'm as sure as I can be that London won't issue an interview date until they receive P3 - either way, nowt to worry about sista. ;)
