So Mark had the interview this morning. He got there really early and was the first one called back for the K-1. The lady said she was pleased he had all the paperwork in order and after about an hour he was walking out approved. He said she asked a few questions like how did we meet, how long have we been together, has he ever been here. Stuff like that.

After the interview and everything was approved she sent him to another area where he was asked how he would like his visa back, his options were date ranging from next day to 5 days (the sooner the return the more expensive) The visa would have to be signed for and Mark set it for next day after noon so he will be staying home tomorrow to wait for it to show up.

This Saturday he will fly home and we will finally be able to be a family. Our wedding is set for October 15 (has been for over a year now so this was a true blessing that it was approved, we were worried we would have to either not get legally married and only have the cermony until we did get an interview or get legally married and file a K-3.

I still cant get over that everything went ok, I have been so nervous lately that I can hardly function.

Hope everything goes well for all of you guys

hugs

That is such good news. I've already expressed congrats, but wanted to thank you for sharing the details too. I don't think I will sleep or eat much for the next 7 days as we await my fiance's interview. I pray that his goes as smooth as your fiance's did. Best wishes for a happy life together.

Hey guys I don't have my interview date yet but was told by NVC today that our application was sent to the London embassy 2 days ago now so i'm hoping they might have it. How do I check to see if they have received it? To phone costs a fair bit, do you guys recommend e-mailing them?

Hopefully I will have my name added to the list for London Interview's soon!

Good luck to everyone

Stuart :)

As BMJ has already said we got approved. I was in a state of shock, I will say get there real early. my interview was initially kicked off at 0800 they let us into the embassy at 0745 but I had been there since 0630. I was literally back out of the embassy like an hour later. Now im waiting for the passport/ visa to be returned .. though it doesnt look hopefull that I will be flying on saturday :( ah well time to go find another £500 for flights. the Consular officer that gave me the Auth said that it would be with SMS by the end of the day, but ive been reading elsewhere that SMS are about as reliable as british rail used to be. anyone shed any light ? I know they say upto 5days but I asked for nextday pre 12 and the guy (who was just as stunned that I had gotten through so fast) on the counter said how much it would be and that was that.

btw being a noob.. DOS =???

Hello. I am a straggler from the Feb CSC Filers forum. I have an interview date of 29 October. Perhaps you could add me to the October list?

Hi im a little bit confused with ur timeline....it says dos told you interview date of 3rd october...but yet ur interview date is later??do they get it wrong?or did you have to reschedule?

It looks like she 'called' DOS on the 3rd of October and they told her the interview date. At least that's what happens in a lot of cases (mine included). Sorry for butting in :)

Spot on - sorry for the confusion. I called DOS on the 3rd and the nice lady told me we had an interview scheduled for 29th.

Fingers crossed for that delivery MBJ. It is outrageous that they would take extra £ and then not provide the extra fast service.

Congrats to those approved this past week or two!!!

Gareth's interview is this coming Thursday morning. I am scared out of my mind and just want it DONE! He has all in order and I even sent him an additional affidavit of support I had notarised because of the confusion people posted about question 11 so now we have one where it is done like on here with neither box checked and then another with the "i intend to support" box checked then both say for K1 fiance' visa etc...
