I have just got the Appointment letter with a few days to spare.. the documents its asking i must bring with me are the usual passport, birth cert etc etc..

BUT

they are saying i need to fill in a DS230 part 2 form which is attached... but actually isn't attached. But didn't i already fill in and complete the DS230.. why would they need it again? Or is this to be treated like all the other things they are asking for that i can't supply because they already have???

Confused really :(

They've got nearly EVERYTHING on the checklist there already.. should i ignore this ds230 bit or fill out another to take with?

Thanks in advance guys

Well I don't know about UK USEM..

But in Philippines when we send our DS230 we fill out both Part 1 and Part 2 but spouse only sign Part 1 and send both parts to NVC..

When we get to our interview.. From what I heard USEM gives back Part 2 to your spouse to sign..

Don't know if that's what their talking about..

Yeah i think it is.. I've already filled in both parts and sent to NVC and am expecting to sign part 2 one the day of the interview, i just don't understand why it says in these instructions that i need a DS230 part 2 form again.. .when they already have it! Oh well i guess i'll take it in again just to be safe.

Half the stuff on the document check list i can't bring anyway because they are holding the originals

Oh yeah.. I remember some people saying in Manila USEM that they gave em DS230 Part 1 and Part 2 again to fill out..

Even if they have the one that was submitted to NVC.. My guess is.. They want to match what was sent and what's written on the interview..

So yeah.. My suggestion is bring a blank DS230 Part 1 and Part 2 to be on the safe side..

Why worry about it?

It is one page if I remember right.

Fill it out again, print it off, DON'T sign it.

Then, you get there and they need it .. you have it.

If they don't need it, no problem, you shred it after you get your visa.

My thoughts exactly ;)

They must have made a mistake on this one. My letter does not mention this at all. Like a previous post has said just take the part 2 with you just in case...

Yeah... a few days later for us actually, and for some reason my NVC appointment letter is postmarked from the Netherlands? Guess NVC must have a mailing facility there to send out international mail?

Gee, I don't know, the document status list on my appointment notice said:

OF-230-I Yes/Document complete/reviewed

OF-230-II Yes/Document complete/reviewed

BTW, OF-230 is the old form number for DS-230. Are you saying your NVC appointment notice doesn't say they have both of these already?
