This process went fast for us.

Received NOA on 10/15 - case transferred to California

Apr 01, '04: RFE received in the mail (sent in wrong birth cert!)

Apr 09, '04: Mailed back RFE (Go USPS!!!)

Apr 28, '04: NOA2!!!! (Charlie received hard copy, online status still not changed) (168 days)

May 10, '04: Letter received from NVC

Nov 20, '04: received AP and EAD appt letter for Dec 9.

Dec 09, '04: received EAD at appt (but the fingerprinting done was NOT the biometrics!)

Jan 11, '05: initial AOS interview date but we need to reschedule.

Dec 20, '04: (circa) received letter requesting the $70 for fingerprinting to be done)

Jan 6. '05: received appointment date for fingerprinting on Jan 25. (found out only on the 25th that they WERE going to interview us on the 26th but they didn't send letter out because the officer was going to be away)

Mar 16, '05: AOS interview - FINALLY!

Apr 27, '05: Received temp card (I-551)

May still receiving welcome NOAs (5 so far)

May I ask how come your case was transfered to CSC?

I don't know why the case was transferred but at the time many cases were transferred from NSC to CSC. I know 2 people in our area that applied to NSC before us, did not have their case transferred and are still waiting. i think they transfer cases to the center that has the lowest backlog.

Talk about fast service.... Ying received her new Green Card today (Dec 31). Only 4 days since she received e-mail notification that she was approved!

No time off from the paperwork. We just downloaded the application for citzenship. It looks simple enough. Ying will be able to send in the application at the end of August 2008. If she gets it in prior to October 1st it looks like she'll have the option of taking the new test or the old test. We downloaded questions from both so that she can start the learning process.

I have a question from you or other folks,

we filed for Removing conditions at NSC and were transferred to CSC as well. So very similar to yours..

Our original date of 1st (conditional GC) is 2/15/06. Kinldy let me know how to calculate when we would be eligible for filing the Naturalization letter.
