Happy new Year to you as well in advance...The conditional GC is issued to applicants who have been married for less than 2 years. We tend to see a lot of members on VJ who apply as soon as they got married or went the route of the K1 visa, so you will see more conditional GC issued.

I filed for my husband after we had been married for about 3 years (it was delayed due to monetary issues) and he received his 10 yr GC 2 weeks ago. Best of luck to you and Congratulations!!! :D

The 2yr. or 10 yr. card is based on the age of your marriage at the date of GC approval.

Less than 2 yrs = 2 yr. card.

More than 2 yrs = 10 yr. card

THANK YOU
