packet 3 question

Just about to head to the post office for next day delivery of my packet 3. Do I need to put birth certificate and stuff in there as per ds156k? I thought I just took them to interview.

You just need to send them the DS230, DS156 and DS156K (plus DS157 if applicable i.e. male applicant aged 16-45) oh and the checklist but that can be sent at a later date.

Everything else is taken personally to the interview.

Yeah dont send anything other than the DS forms back, and the checklist of course. The forms are quite ambiguous when it comes to that as i did wonder too!

another wee stupid question.....I sent back the ds2001 and checklist which were seperate sheets. But it also said to send 1st 4 pages of the instructions. Did I need to send both?

I remember mine said something like that too, cant remember exactly though. I havent even heard of the ds2001 form...what is that!? Im pretty sure they do need the first 4 pages of the instructions - this just has the checklist on it basically.

it's just I had another wee form that said (hold on I'll dig out photocopy, yes I copied everything TWICE!)

"notification of applicant readiness" which you filled out name and "mailing address for appointment letter", email, phone number and travel date. There was also a wee seperate checklist sheet.

Sent my packet 3 off today as well! Guessing it will be sometime Febuary for the interview.

So I'm guessing you didn't send in the DS2001 either? We didn't only because I didn't see anything about it in the packet either. Where is it, weedebz?

I don't know what they wanted or expect at the Embassy but I just sent back both (pages 1-4 of the instruction AND DS-2001) even though it seems redundant. Form DS-2001 was in my packet 3 but if it is missing here is a link.

Like Debz....I also photocopied EVERY page just before we sent them back to the Embassy...because I knew at some point I would have a question (Aaaggggghhhh......Did I include the postcode? Did I tick all the boxes? ). And yes, I have already had to check....
