I am telling you what, I got spoiled this year! Best part was it was our first Christmas together!

From my hubby I got a diamond necklace, perfume, a camp kitchen, several other wonderful things!

He really went ove board. We both agreed though that this year was different.

From my mummy and dad...I got a hand made pottery baking dish that is simply amazing, Coco Chanel perfume, and a cook book. Chris got a back packing stove and lantern...loads of hiking books! My sister and brother inlaw got me a Pandora Bracelet! Check them out if you are not familiar with them! Really neat!

Hope everyone is enjoying their family and friends this holiday!

I just googled the pandora bracelet and they're very cool! Now I want one

Life is a ticket to the greatest show on earth.

Christmas was great!!

Mainly, it was the family that spoiled us this year

We got a 3 day trip to Chicago (Justin's hometown) for this year's family reunion, which is going to be in june.

Justin got a Seiko kinetic watch, cash presents, and a mold to make ice shot glasses :P

I got a big shopping trip to macy's and victoria's secret, and cash presents

My favorite present is that Justin got me a snowglobe that he had engraved, it says "Justin and Carolina, our first christmas together as husband and wife, 2007" (L)

We had lobster on christma's eve (yuuum!), and on christmas day we had deviled eggs, empanadas, and deep fried turkey with mashed potatoes. For desert, we had christmas cookies and chocolates...I'm so full!!! :help:

Justin, Anya and me next to the christmas tree

Looks like "santa" was good to a lot of us here!

Hubby got a Kraftsman hydraulic chair, charge/valet, Norelco grooming kit, silver USMC ring, nice pants and shirts, Babylon 5 Season One DVD set and a 26" HDTV/DVD combo for the basement (so that he can watch TV/movies when he's exercising or tinkering on his projects).

I got lots of nice sweaters, a deep fryer, dolphin charms for my bracelet, a photo printer/scanner/fax machine ("networkable too!") and a magic sing with a duet microphone.

My son got the Rock Band deluxe edition, some xbox 360 games, a game chair and a Sirius Stiletto 2 radio with 3 months subscription.

My stepson got a lot of PC games, an extra Guitar Hero 3 PC controller, various accessories for his computer (additional RAM, USB hub, wireless router, cool keyboard) and a computer chair.

Luz and Mags, let me know if your sons play Halo 3 online. Maybe they can hook up with my son. :)

I feel important  lol!

This is the recipe adapted to Texas :P

1-go to your nearest world supermarket or phonecia's bakery. Get "la salteña" empanada dough.

2-chop white onions, green onions, red peppers, green peppers. Fry on a frying pan. season with salt, pepper, "texas joy" meat seasoning, and a bit of chilli powder.

3-add ground beef to the fried mix, but don't cook the meat!. It will cook later in the oven.

4-hard boiled eggs, potatoes, olives are optional (I use one of these tops, I like my empanadas meaty :P)

5-grab an empanada disc, place a spoon full of filling in the middle and close. repeat :D

6-place them in a buttered baking plate, paint them with egg yolk

7-bake at 450 until they are golden and yummy

for the ham and cheese, use muzarella cheese, ham, and eggs (optional)

Enjoy!

Saludos,

Caro

sounds yummy, but I doubt I will find a world supermarket, I'm in Kansas, remember? :P

I thought you had the recipe for the dough.

I like the ground beef filling and also the ham and cheese. I could also try with hearts of palms and chicken, or hearts of palms and shrimp :D

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).
