Hi,

Our case was completed at NVC on Feb 6th and we're still waiting to hear about an interview. I understand that NVC assigns the interview dates for Montreal, but I have heard some people make mention of a "checklist" that we need to send to the consulate there. Where/when do we get this checklist, and will they assign an interview date before or after we send it it?

Thanks!

The checklist is part of package 3 for K1 and K3. Since you are applying for CR1/IR1, you will only receive the interview letter aka package 4. There is a list of documents that you need to bring to the interview in the package, but it is not really a checklist.

Good luck.

Thank everyone for the info! I was wondering what that was all about.

Yeah, it's been over 8 weeks... going on 11 since case complete... I called the NVC, and they say it's just backed up.

embarrisingly slow service.

Seriously. I've seen mud going uphill on a cold Canadian winter day going faster than our visa journey...
