I got an email this morning from CRIS saying that my application for aos has been transferred to CSC.

I'm sure I've read that people whose cases are transferred here don't have to have an interview - I'm SURE there are other threads asking this but for some reason they didn't come up in the search. Anyways I was just wondering (and hoping :D ) that this is true.

Congratulations - Yes, it's true most all of the time there will be no interview if you're transferred to CSC (there are rare occurrences where cases are transferred back to the local office, but rare)...

Yes that is what my wife and I thought too and she was delighted when we read our email from CRIS saying that our case was transfered..... BUT... we just got back to our house today after spending the holidays at my parents house to see that on Monday we got an intverview notice in the mail. That's annoying for you! I know not everyone gets approved without an interview so when I got the email I went YAY and then calmed down and am not thinking about it ;) - since I'll probably be the one they send back wanting to know why I lived in Brussels for 3 years or something, lol.

If this process with USCIS has taught me anything it's not to get my hopes up about things like this! Hope your interview goes smoothly.

Well, CSC itself doesn't interview people so I would double check WHERE your interview is. If it doesn't say so on the interview notice then you will need to do an Infopass at your local office to find out what is going on.

There may be some cross purposes going on here and, as we all know, USCIS DOES make mistakes.
