Everywhere I read it says to start getting the documents ready for the interview as soon as possible. Especially if you are getting close to NOA2. My question is: Can I get stuff like my letter from employer, bank info, etc. now? Was wondering if the dates are gonna be looked at, meaning if I get them before the date of the NOA2?

(we have a connection at the consolute in Nigeria and may be able to get an earlier interview date than we are scheduled for...maybe!)

So I want to get everything together as soon as possible, but don't want to jump the gun and risk a problem. Anyone have first-hand knowledge of this?

Thanks.

Hope everyone had a Merry Xmas!

(mine was a little sad!...boo hoo)

The documents are usually good for at least 6 months. However, I waited until the last minute to get time sensitive documents, becasuse, I wanted to use the same ones (original documents) for AOS.

I also guess it would also depend on, if you are travelling to Nigeria for the interview and can carry the evidence with you or if will be mailed.

Hope you see the NOA2 approval soon.

Unfortunately, I would love to go there for the interview, but don't think I will be able to make it.

When I was going for the K3 I had planned to get the more time sensitive documents at the last minute also. One never knows in Lagos what they are going to think. If you get a bank statement in January and have the interview in March (for example) would they say that you could have spent that money since January. Where is the proof that you currently have what you claim you have. The same applies to pay stubs, letters from employers etc. I'm paranoid but I think with this embassy you pretty much have to be. Now that I'm going for the CR1 (unwillingly) I will be waiting until the last minute to get records from my employer and bank before sending it to the NVC and I'll get them all over again for the interview at the embassy to avoid any troubles.
