To Staple or Not To Staple

I'm FINALLY mailing my I-864 today!! My question is this: When you submitted your tax forms, did you staple the W2 to the transcript? I know stupid question, but I don't want anything to get lost I am so excited about even mailing it!

I can only tell you what we did, and guess what, we did staple the papers together!!.........and had no problems at all!!

I think my husband used ACCO fasteners for copies of the return because he had over 60 pages worth of paper work. So far, NVC has not complained.

we didn't staple the W2 to the transcript so I guess it doesn't matter at all!!

It will all be stapled together in the end, so staple away (but follow the stapling instructions for I-864 otherwise)...

Ok, I just stapled the W2s to the transcripts (some of the W2 are small, and I don't want them to get lost) I didn't staple anything else together, and paper clipped the actual I-864 pages together.. Just stuck in the outgoing mailbox

You won't have any problems with stapling that W2...

USCIS doesn't like staples, but the NVC actually includes stapling guidelines. Maybe that's why they're so much more efficient...

Found the info!!! This is what it says:

Federal Income Tax Returns: Complete federal tax returns with all supporting schedules for the three most recent tax years.

Each year''s returns must have all pages in the correct order and must be stapled together.

So! Good news! That was what I did!! Yeah!!

I was doing the same thing!! I wanted to send it in Priority.. but decided to use their envelope and priority stickers, you know just in case! I just saw your wedding dress in another post, wow beautiful!!
