Our I-130 was approved December 18th and i recieved the approval notice in the mail yesterday and it says on the notice the petition has been forwarded to the NVC. I know we are going to need a joint sponsor which we have one can i go ahead and have our joint sponsor fill out the AOS form or should i wait until i hear something from the NVC? Thanks

I had ALL the forms needed for nvc filled out by the time I received my noa2. .. but then I am that way.

The ds-3032 choice of agent form is the first thing nvc will want, and MOST foreign spouses make their usa spouse the agent to reduce mail time. Get this filled out and get your foreign spouse to sign it and mail it to you.

Then as soon as the auto-phone system at nvc says they have mailed the ds-3032, you can next day it to them, and save yourself weeks of mail time.

I would urge you to get the ds-230 part 1 filled out and ready to mail in. The reason is it requires the foreign spouse original signature. So, if you wait until they ask for it, then you have to mail to your spouse, wait for the return, and mail it in to nvc. So get this one filled out and signed. hold onto it in usa, and when nvc asks for it, you have it done.

There's a pinned discussion in nvc forum about shortcuts you can use, but these two things I just mentioned will save you most of the time possible.
