I heard from the Embassy - got Packet 3 days ago - but I told Paul they mentioned that they require I-134, 1040 and W2 for the year 2004. It does not say this anywhere on the website; Paul wrote to the Consulate about 10 days ago and they responded last night saying it is required. So now it seems more than likely it will take another month before I have all the documents. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Am fed up!!!

If you call the IRS and wait on hold for an hour or so, you should be able to get transcripts of past years tax returns and W-2s sent to you in 1-2 weeks. It's much quicker than requesting over the internet or via mail, which I've heard can take up to 6 weeks.

After sending Packet 3 there is approx wait of 2 months before your interview. You could return packet 3 and still have your docs in time.

Thats what I did, it save more waiting later.

What - didn't you read the guides and posts here? Many people including I; had my I134 and employer letter and tax returns ready after the NOA1. And as someone else says - it doesn't take long to do these - it took me a day to ask for everything and get the I134 done and about a week for the employment letter to arrive in the mail. Good Luck

I called the IRS got transcripts in 4 days-don't worry you can get everything together quicker than you think

Should call right away since it's Tax Season, and they are busy doing tax returns right now.

Paul has gone to the office which is not far from where he lives in Houston. I hope he gets that soon. He has sent me the I-134 and the other stuff - it was just these two things that he was told he did not need to send unless he is self-employed

Do not panic, Jon came with me to the interview and all they asked us for was the I-134, the police certifcate, birth certificate, and one pay slip, we just stared at the officer and said is that it? The officer said yep, so I said well we have these W2's and what not and he just smiled and said dont need them. I was like ####### all that panicking and they bloody didnt need them. Get them just in case because you never know with these people.
