Merry xmas!! Went tothe dog park after the gifts were opened, and hoping for a Timmys! But nope, the ones around my area were closed. Had to settle for a Robins, lol Merry xmas all

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

Congratulations!!!

Nick and I have been planning on getting married for awhile now but we were never officially engaged.

My Divorce was finalized recently, Nick was waiting for that to go through before he asked me and so he asked last night.

Not Everyone gets officially engaged before they start planning their future together. Nick made it very special for me.

are you trying to fight me??? watch yourself (shockingly, there is no cowboy-vaguely-threatening smiley face)

We made a huge pile of pierogies to entertain ourselves Christmas day, the tasty side of loneliness.

No smiley for Pistol Pete or Steamboat, imagine that!

Still kind of miss the Joe Glenn show, even if they won't stop showing that victory over UCLA in the Las Vegas Bowl (24-21 for the Cowboys).

Perogies are nice but I prefer things a bit spicier. Had to go to Denver or SLC to get samosas and empanadas, too bad. :crying:

BTW, every time I see your screen name I think Thermopolis, you aren't from there are you?

are you a poke? IR5 you're a continual surprise. Actually you apparently never went to the SW side of Laramie, very similar to much of Albuquerque and great mexican although not much green chili.

nope not from Thermopolis although I do like that little town, I from a little town no one has ever heard of in SE wyoming. I study the stuff that grows in hot springs and tend to enjoy hotsprings myself-therefore "Thermophile"
