We had 7 people at our first wedding, including us. We went out for lunch at a fancy restaurant and then home to my apartment for cake and champagne.

We had planned a second wedding for this July (our second anniversary), with about 150 people, but we moved to Albuquerque instead. Actually we had first planned a second wedding for the May after we'd gotten married, which was when we'd originally been planning to get married before we decided not to do the K-1 ... and before I get flamed, he was here on a temp work visa when we got engaged, we planned to do K-1 and get married in May 2005, then after a few months of being engaged (while he was still working on the work visa) we decided to get married and have him stay. Anyway after paying for all the immigration stuff and him being out of work for five months (waiting the full 90 days for the EAD, then he was offered a job, then while he was going through the hiring paperwork the offer was retracted because they decided they needed someone who spoke Spanish, and then it was Christmas so no one was hiring until New Year's) we just couldn't afford it.

Maybe for our 10-year anniversary!

We had 20 people at our wedding, which we had at the Southern Belle Mansion, on an absolutely beautiful November day. It was basically our parents, our two siblings and family, our two best friends and families, and one of my best friends from university and her husband. We then had a reception immediately afterwards for the Oklahomian contingent, which was about 80 people (?).

Last September we went home to Nova Scotia and had two Open House receptions for my family and friends. Total number of people was about 200 ?? Not sure.

Everything we did was relaxed, and fun, and turned out perfectly. Couldn't ask for anything better. :)

On the same wedding theme.. one of our cousins on my husband's side invited us to their wedding, but we have to pay to go! ($50 bucks for the two of us.. uncles and aunts have to pay $50 a person!) I can't believe people are doing that these days... if you can't afford it, have a smaller wedding! (dont mean to offend if there are those here that did that..)

:o People do that? I have never heard of that before...goodness me...

About 80 people...had one wedding&reception

But possibly one day we may have some kind of reception or celebration in India, since they are happy for us now. One of my sis-in-law's husband told Sujeet and my FIL that they should plan something for us there in the future. That'd be awesome.
