Hi! All,

God's Blessings on All! We have been so blessed to this point of our visa journey! Thanks to God!

We will be going for our AOS interview on May 08, 2006 at Jacksonville, Florida. Can someone answer some questions I have before our interview, thank you! The I-797C asks for I-864 with all required evidence but then says (unless already submitted) for last 3 years tax returns, letter from employer, and evidence of US Citizenship. My question is do I have to resubmit the above even though these were already submitted with my fiancee visa and also when we submitted our I-485 application? I take it we will have to submit 2005 tax return just filed and another letter from employer to show still working. Do I need to bring originals for this interview of US Citizen, birth certificate, divorce decree and etc. with copies of each? Well any help will be deeply appreciated and any additional advice.

God's Blessings!

Joyful and Thankful!

Shely and Carmine

Bring all documents that you have ever submitted to the USCIS. This will cover past tax returns and 2005.

Get a new I-864. It is just too easy to fill out. So why even chance not having a fresh one.

"Do I need to bring originals for this interview of US Citizen, birth certificate, divorce decree and etc. with copies of each?" yes

Make a copy of everything in case they want to keep something.

I tokk all the originals and some copies with me - he didn't ask to see any of them (but he did see my passport for arival departure stamps from Colombioa - I am the USC.) So at least it was good that I took it with me.

Its better to have all the docs in case they ask for one - and yes they can always make copies, so if you don't want the hassle of running to the nearest Kinkos (I guess they are now Fedex) that's Ok also. The docs he really wanted from us were the relationship proof - bank statements; health insurance docs; healthinsurace cards, visa card etc.. Good Luck

I had originals and copies ad nauseum. Arrange and divide them all in document protectors, roughly in the order that they are listed.

Our guy went through the file, I gave him what he needed, he asked the required questions, and we were done.

Basically, show up squared away, and you will be a breath of fresh air for your officer. He/she will probably return the favor with a painless interview. Good luck!

We had our AOS interview this morning. I'd assumed that the proof of citizenship for the sponsors would have to have been in the sponsorship packet, and as such, already submitted (the sponsor is my wife's parents). However, it wasn't. Happily, my wife now makes enough to sponsor me on her own and we had all her documentation there (paystubs, letter from employer, etc.). They didn't ask for any proof that she was a citizen though... So in short, bring everything, just in case. Other than that, everything went great.

good luck!

You don't need a new I-864, unless your financial situation materially changed or you want to remove a co-sponsor requirement. Just current employment letter and tax returns for 2005 if you did not send these with AOS package (I assume not). Also, 2005 W-2 and copies may be useful.

Bring originals for all copies you submitted with AOS package in case they want to see them. Most people don't get asked but no reason to chance it.
