Is the uniqueness of your name a big factor in how long a person gets tied up in "name checks"?

I'm the only person in the country with my name, and my fiancée isn't exactly a "Smith" or "Nelson" either.

Just curious, because what other factors could there be? Some people get held up for a LONG time!

(I'm not concerned or hopeful about my particular case, just curious. )

Thank you

my husband is one of those people who have been held up in name check a long time. he said his name is not so common and ive googled it and really there are not alot that comes up.

of course im sure him being middle eastern has something to do with it...but then again there are alot of middle eastern who fly right by the name check. u know almost half the middle east has the name mohammad and i see them getting approved easily.

really its hard to say really what holds them up.

Really common names do tend to take longer but that doesn't mean an uncommon name can't take a long time too.
