You guys are stars!

Anyways, I'm 32....but we'll just say I'm 27 & holding, lol. :lol: Not to get too serious for a sec, but when I was 24 & when I was in the car accident, my chances of survival weren't too great...and when I went in for brain surgery, I looked at the world & thought that once I went inside the hospital, I'd never see the outside ever again.

So I age with eternal gratitude to God for getting me through that! I LOVE the fact that I'm getting older & age is only a number!

Anyways, I'm spending the day doing nothing really....just lounging by the pool with my parents. We'll barbeque & have cocktails by the pool. I didn't want to make too much of a hoo-ha cos if we went out, I wouldn't get time to talk with David! His computer at home is shagged, so he's bringing his cam to his mom's & I'll get to physically see my love, which is somethign I haven't done in months!

He'll be a sight for sore eyes!

My family is making a big deal (we always do), and it's nice spending it with them...I am an only child & have missed many bdays being in the UK so my mom is practically in tears with happiness that I'm here for this one.

Again, thank you all.... I don't have many 'friends' here as my family moved here while I was living with David, and I did make a very close friend who just backstabbed me last week quite badly in business and personal...so that totally sucks. I don't wanna be too soppy, but you guys have made me feel very special & not so isolated & friendless!!!

09.23.2009......Embassy receives Notice of Readiness

10.13.2009......Received our interview date

10.29.2009......Successful interview!

11.5.2009........Visa received in post

11.7.2009........All the family flew to the US together :)

12.20.2009......Received Welcome to America letter

12.24.2009......10 year Greencard received in the mail

Well guys, just wanted to let you know my day was fantastic! Spent time with D...oh how I love him! He had sent me several e cards, and was sending paper cards thru the mail all this month. He wrote some of the most beautiful things to me...made my heart melt! He doesn't look like it, but boy is that man a romantic.

He had gotten me this beautiful gold necklace...and gave me clues on where to find it...he had hidden it in my room the last time he was here!!!!!

Day was great....family and I spent the afternoon by the pool sipping cocktails....I got a bit tipsy! We had a cookout (what I asked for) and then I took a nap...woke up to Beef Wellington & champagne.

Opened some gifts & now am ready for bed! I had a great day today...and you guys even made it better.
