Hi, i'm new to this site, but i read alot of the posts and i dont think anyone has a problem like mines so far. My wife lives in a small town in Hubei China, our problem is that the notary office in charge of her district wont notarize her police certificate. The lady at the notary office insists that the head of the psb in my wifes home town write that my wife has not comitted a crime in the whole China. The head of psb says that he has no right to put down "whole China" because he only governs this small psb office of this small town. Me and my wife traveled to 2 other cities in this area asking information from bigger psb offices about this situation and they all said that the lady at the notary office cant request that. Now my wife is stuck on her last required document and i dont know what i can do from here. travel here sucks big time theres no trains or planes, only busses though mountain roads that have many rock slides. Its a 8 hour ride from my wifes home to the notary office and we have been back and forth there 4 times already with our 8 month old son with no luck. Any advice will be apreciated TY:)

You need to visit PSB of city where her hukou or place that her national ID says she lives, that PSC has access to the national record, you then take the report to a Notary office for translation.

NOTE: I highly recommend that you Join, post questions, and study the FAQ page on "A Candle for Love" that board specializes in Chinese immigrations issues, and the very daunting interview at the Guangzhou consulate.

yes, me and my wife did travel to the city psb, but they only tell us the ssame thing about not being able to write "whole China" on the police report and aid that only the psb that governs the area of my wifes fukou is allowed to write a police report for her. The police chief went as far as to write "she has not comiited a crime in her town and outside of this town" I think thats nutz, wouldnt "outside of this town" include the rest of this planet? I dont understand y he just cant write that my wife hasnt committed a crime in China.

Outside this city is good enough for Guangzhou, get it translated to English at the notary office, as well as marriage cert, and birth cert for the interview.

And again check out candle, they are the place to be to prepare.

That's right. GUZ understands and accepts any police certificate provide them for China, if it is a Notarial Translation from the Gong Zheng Chu.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...
Understanding the big picture is priceless. Anonymous
