For highschool I didn't put course of study, because there is none I think I just put N/A in that space.

For the university I put "B.sc. in Biology", you should put whatever you were learning there and what diploma/degree you received. Course of study means the subject you were learning, if it's history put down history, if it's physics then write physics... or whatever else it is.

Whenever I am filling out paperwork and it asks for "course of study" I always put "general"

not sure if that is correct, but that's how I have always answered that question(job applications).

I put drama and english for high school because i those are the courses i focussed on to get into college. I think you should have no problems leaving it blank though, or if you dont want to leave it blank, maybe put N\A.
