I believe that someone should have to pass a 4th grade language exam before they immigrate to the U.S. But that obviously didn't stop you. [/b]

i agree, but then a lot of the socially inept men who go to a third world country, pick a fiancee after a week and then run back to the US to fill out their forms for their indentured servant would be really really upset!!!

someone please tell me how you can fall in love with someone over the course of 3 months on the internet and a week in person when you and your beneficiary BARELY speak a common language?

oh that's right, the language of LOVE. How silly of me to have forgotten that.

This thread inspired me. I just wrote a letter to both my state senators and my congressman. Nor sure if it will help, but if it does then good. I cant understand people just sitting there and doing nothing but complaining about how long this process takes. I read in another thread that someones congressman/ senator wrote to them saying that the uSICS is the worst government agency and it would take a congressional inquiry or somethign to change it. Well if that what it will take then I say everyone one of us who is disgusted with this process should write or call our governement officals to, if nothign else, shed some light on how backwards this process is. If we all just sit back and take it then nothing will ever been done about it!

I called VSC this morning but the answered NOTHING 'Waiting'. Well, at least I've already tried. Anyways, I will do the same you did. I will send 3 letters to both Senators and Congressman on this Sunday. Again, at least give it a try. I miss my 'baby' so much. I wish you all get the approval NOA2 today.

Waiting five or six months to achieve NOA2 doesn't seem so bad to me. Yes, it hurts to be apart from the person you love, but there are many other things to be tidied up before you leave your home country for good. With the number of people having to wait a lot longer than six months it suggests that the system is still hopelessly understaffed and unable to cope.

It does seem a little unfair when cases are processed out of order - as we are currently seeing at VSC particularly - but I'm just happy to see so many approvals from there rather than the go-slow there seems to be at CSC currently.

A lot of cases were transferred from the other two centers and I'm wondering if there's just a big room full of boxes that are date labelled but not necessarily neatly stacked in order. An employee looking to earn a bonus is likely to just grab the first box they come across and get to work rather than spend time hunting through trying to ensure they pick the oldest box available. It might be unfair, but then nothing about this system seems very fair.

Not sure how much difference kicking up a fuss makes, but if it seems to work for one individual then I'm pleased for them. Anyone who has a bad experience with documents being lost, or cases taking longer than six months to be dealt with should definitely complain in writing about these issues so that it gets recognised as something that voters care about.

Congratulations to the people who get lucky.
