has anyone of the FEB K1 fiance visa intrviewees paid the visa interview at BPI already?

Do i need to wait for my K1 fiance packet 4 before i could pay the $131 for my interview?

04/18/07 - my honey asked me to marry him and i said yes! we're ENGAGED!

05/28/07 - my honey sent the petition to USCIS

06/08/07 - USCIS recieved (on-line)

09/25/07 - hard copy of NOA1 received thru mail

10/15/07 - process for the petition was taking long so he decided to go back to the PI

10/22/07 - NOA2 approved (on-line)

11/08/07 - honey had to leave me again to go back to hawaii

12/10/07 - i was assigned an interview date (2/7/08) and PE date (1/30/07)

01/02/08 - Received PACKET 4!!!!!!

01/04/08 - 1st Day Early Medical at SLEC

01/07/08 - 2nd Day Early Medical at SLEC - PASSED!!!

01/30/08 - Scheduled Medical accdg to packet

Hi im scheduled on feb 8... i am also waiting for that packet from the USEM. I will be paying 131 dollars for the interview as soon as i have the packet in hand.

I went to Cagayan de Oro City today to pay the interview fee.(CDO is 2 hours bus ride from Iligan)..I got a priority number - 98. They were entertaining priority numbers 40-50. I asked the guard what are the documents i need and he said they will provide me the documents needed. I took my number and went to watsons to pass the waiting time. Luckily when i returned to the BPI they were already entertaining numbers 90-100. I told the man incharge I'm paying 131$ since i will be interviewed on february.....Goodness gracious he doesnt know about it. So he asked his superior who told him that for this year they will ONLY be accepting 100$ payment and i will just return on january to pay the remainder. I was too hungry and too tired to argue with them. They told me if i return on January they will accept my 131$ payment. . . . . . . :unsure: i hope the dollar rate wont skyrocket on january.... :crying:

sorry to hear that... yea dollar sucks even here in the US, they're really strugling... so there's no bpi in iligan? that sucks... im frm cdo so i know how far uve traveled... last time, i paid my visa fee a week before my interview after i took my med exam (knowing how expensive would it be lol)... so its still ok to pay later after the med but before the interview (some paid it while they were in manila for their med, whichever the closest route for you)

And regarding your question about the packet, u can call the SLEC if u want to request for a pick-up of your packet...Some of the VJers say that we can print the forms provided in the packet from the USEM website...Hope this limited info helped you!

bullet APPLICATION FEES FOR U.S. NONIMMIGRANT VISAS TO INCREASE ON 01 JANUARY 2008

Effective 01 January 2008, the application fee for a U.S. nonimmigrant visa will increase from $100 to $131. This increase allows the Department to recover the costs of security and other enhancements to the nonimmigrant visa application process.

Applicants who paid the prior $100 application fee before 01 January 2008 will be processed only if they are scheduled and appear for a visa interview before 31 January 2008. Applicants who paid the prior $100 application fee and appear for visa interviews after 31 January 2008 must pay the difference -- $31 -- before they will be interviewed. This additional fee must be paid at a designated branch of Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) or Citibank which collects visa fees.

The $31 difference must be paid before the interview to avoid having delay in the processing of the visa application. In paying for this difference, one must bring to the bank his/her original DS-157 Form where the $100 application fee was originally machine-validated. The bank will then revalidate the same form to reflect additional payment of $31.

An applicant who arrives at the Embassy for an interview after 31 January 2008 with incomplete application fee payment will be sent to the nearest designated BPI or Citibank branch to pay for the $31 difference. An application will be processed the same day if the applicant arrives an hour before his/her scheduled visa interview and if payment has been made on the same day. Otherwise, the applicant will need to make a new appointment and complete the application fee payment in order for his/her application to be processed.
