My wife and I got married in June of this year. I submitted the I-130 Spouse Visa form in July31st and the I-129F form in September 20th. The only unfair thing is that I'm an American citizen. We just shouldn't have to wait this long for us to be together. Also the paperwork is just too much and unnecessary. We had to submit our pictures of marriage and other occasions just to prove we are married. We really miss each other. More than 5 months have gone by. I'm sure many of you are in the similar situation. If any of you have any ideas please let us know.

Thanks.

Manasa,

I'm very sorry you are having a hard time.

All I can suggest to you is occupy your time with work, save money, take up a hobby and of course, maintain your relationship!

Let your love lead the way. Keep strong together. Take each day and face it together.

Think of how sweet it will be when you are finally together. You will have worked so hard and waited so long, it will be beyond worth it.

Happy Holidays to you!!

~Laura

i couldn't have said it better--every day is torture, but it's all worth it in the end!! it'll be over before you know it and you'll look back and laugh at these crazy days...i hope you're together soon! all the best!! (L)(L)(L)

::There’s a laugh in my eyes::

There’s a waltz in my walk

And it’s been such a long time

Since there was hope in my talk

If you never knew

What it is that’s new.. it’s you

‘Cause when your hands are in mine

You set a fire that everyone can see

And it’s burning away

Every bad memory

To tell you the truth

If it’s something new.. baby it’s you

It’s you in the morning

It’s you in the night

A beautiful angel came down

To light up my life

The world’s a different place

Where nothing’s too hard to say

And nothing’s too hard to do

Never too much to go through

To tell you the truth

Everything that’s new.. baby it’s you

It’s you in the morning

It’s you in the night

A beautiful angel came down

To light up my life

My life, my life

Ohh

So if I get to grow old (oh if I get to grow old)

With many years behind me (many years behind me)

There’s only one thing I want (aahh)

One thing I need beside me

For all that you are

For everything you do

For all that you’ve done

Just for showing me the truth

::It’s you...It’s you...Baby it’s you::

Equal and fair are not synonyms.

It's not that I don't get it. I do. By the way, the Cuban issue is a matter of a different law, not the same law applied differently.

What happens all too often is we hear, "It's not fair." when what is meant is simply, "I don't like it."

Similarly we hear, "It should be..." when what is really meant is "I want....".

I don't like that Cubans get preferential treatments just because their system of government is something we don't condone.

How about the corrupt governments in many third-world countries? Such as Philippines. I want the filipinos to get special treatments too just like the Cubans.

I want Filipinos to be legal as soon as they set foot on US soil.

I don't like that it is currently taking longer to process visas for wives than for fiances.

Due to the receipting delay, it will take at least 10 months to process the initial approval for the K-3, if they don't cancel it ... this should have been within six months ..

I don't like it that I'll likely be forced into the CR1 ... I don't like it that you'll all tell me its the "better visa" ... I don't like it that it will cost me MORE to travel to Montreal for the CR1 interview than it will to apply for AOS.

I have no problem saying that isn't fair. Yeah, I'm 32, I know life isn't fair. That doesn't mean I have to like it.

Yes, this is horribly hard, yes it is possible to live through, yes, our relationship will make it .. but, again, that doesn't mean I have to like it.

And, for the record, the processing time has nothing to do with which country your SO is from. I'm from Canada and I'm not getting any preferential treatment.

AOS

May 23, 2008 - AOS filed

June 3, 2008 - NOA

June 27th - scheduled biometrics, reschedule requested

July 14th - biometrics

July 16 - cases available online

Aug 6th - card production ordered (EAD)
