How can you be with someone for 7 years and not know their age? I don't see myself dating someone for a week without knowing their age.

That's what I was wondering. You never know.

All you need is a modest house in a modest neighborhood

In a modest town where honest people dwell

--July 22---------Sent I-129F packet

--July 27---------Petition received

--August 28------NOA1 issued

--August 31------Arrived in Terrace after lots of flight delays to spend Lindsay's birthday with her

--October 10-----Completed address change online

--January 25-----NOA2 received via USCIS Case Status Online

Kinda disturbing to read women are being compared to cars.

I feel sorry for the guy with the conversion van.

The only thing that comes to mind is that they don't communicate in words. Maybe they speak sign languages or there was no communication at all.

and yet, still not a humorous analogy. I am not holding out for a good humored automobile-woman comparison.

Personally I think it's a mistake to get married before you have some time to know yourself as an adult independant of your parents... but that doesn't mean it can't work out.

I completely agree with this, and that is what I am getting at. Man, if I married the guy I was "in love with" at 19 ...... oye. Marriage is hard work, and I am glad I waited until I myself was at the point in my life where I was ready to give the effort -- I so was not in that kind of mind-set in my late teens -- early 20s.

I do not doubt that there are people that got married before they hit 20 and are happily married and doing well, I just rarely come across it!

I honestly question people getting married before they are 20. Out of all that I have seen, only one couple (she was 19, he was 23) that have lasted, and that was because she was extremely mature and has a good dose of common sense. IMHO, people need a bit of life experience first before getting married.

I agree....although age, experience and even living together for awhile have not shown to help reduce divorce rates. I'm not even sure that divorce is an accurate measurement for unsuccessful marriages, because there's a lot of miserably married couples out there.

So true!

The only thing funnier than comparing women to cars is comparing obese women to chevrolets.
