Proof of Ongoing relationship - EMAILS

 Share

I have read some entries that state Manila was reading all the Emails/IM's between couples to prove ongoing relationship. We have about 250 IM's over less than one year, which were saved as files. Do I need to print out all of them or is a listing of these files and byte size enough to prove ongoing relationship? If all are not required, how many is enough? Additionally, I have read something about 5 days for the visa to show up at the address of the beneficiary after approval, is that true even if another island (cebu) versus Manila itself?

Please let me express my thanks to all who have helped answer 1 Million questions I had about this process. The steps so far have been without problems (Thank God) and I will provide whatever documents needed (even 10xs )too many to keep the process smooth. Naomi and I are eagerly awaiting spending the rest of our lives together loving each other and Thanking God for HIS Gift to each of us, Naomi to me, and Me to Naomi.

Would like to schedule her journey to the United States with me for February 22 and a new life for both of us.

During my interview I submitted to the pre-screener 5 pages of emails and also 5 for chat messages. The consul didn't read entirely the contents. He just browsed 2 to 3 pages...

God Bless on your interview!

We haven't gotten to the interview phase yet (soon, I hope!), but we aren't planning to bring any email or chat records. We figure they're not good proof of anything anyway.

Instead she'll be bringing LOTS of cards, and some pictures and boarding passes, along with statements from both our parents.. So we're hoping that's enough.

Good luck to you

I suggest something in the middle. Print the listing and then a page or so of the text from a couple chats and a couple emails from each month.

For the interview (soon) we will have phone records & phone card purchase proof, cell phone proof of calls, emails over a period of time and most recent, cards from eachother & letters, many pictures, also western union sent & recieved proof. We have probably over 500 emails but sent ones over a period of time, as well as the other proof requested.

We probably went a little over board, but, they will have proof of our ongoing relationship.

They don't need or want to see 250 emails or IM's. They want to see evidence of continued communication. Printing out two or three emails a month should be plenty. I did like the suggestion from earlier about also printing a LIST of all the emails and IM's. Include copies of phone records. If you've been sending money on a regular basis, include copies of the western union receipts. Copies of cards you may have sent her for her birthday, valentines, aniversary, christmas and so on. Photos of the two of you together. Anything you can think of that will establish an ongoing relationship. You don't need 250 emails or IM's to do that, just a sampling.

Good luck.

Wouldn't money transfers make them curious or cautious about the whole "mail order bride" or "green card scam" scenarios? Would depend on the amounts, I guess...

Most fraud cases result in the USC being defrauded so, sending money abroad usually isn't a positive piece of evidence. Even when positive, there is usually far more compelling evidence than money transfers.

I am using a paid service to guide us through the K-1 process. I have been replying on their advice throughout this ridiculous maze we all have to go through. This service helps about 2000 couples per year get their visas. They've been doing this for 20 years and I trust their advice. The vast majority of their clients have Philippine fiancees or spouses and my fiancee is Filipina.

The advice that they gave me was to include the western union receipts. We are not at all short of other evidence. This is just one more piece to establish an ongoing relationship.
