I want to find out if anyone filing k-1 visa had to use a co sponsor and was granted visa with the Nigeria Embassy in late 2006 or 2007. So many conflicting reports concerning Nigeria when it comes to co sponsors. I just wish to hear from someone who used a co sponsor and was granted visa. B)

I am not sure about the K-1 although I had never heard of any problems before with denials because of a co-sponsor. We were approved at the interview but it is a K-3. I had a co-sponsor and the Lagos Embassy did not give us any problems about it. I think if you can prove without a doubt that your fiance will not become a public charge you should have nothing to worry about. Good Luck!
