Lindsay and I are discussing jobs in Canada now.

Listen, they have to give us our approvals or RFE's or whatever sooner or later....My guess is that there's a late July crate sitting somewhere and is anxiously waiting to be f.$%..g processed.

As far as I can see, most of the July petitions have been processed now, so our approval can't be far away...

That's what I keep telling myself, but it's hard. I have been all but offered 2 jobs without an interview in her hometown. One of them could push and get me into Canada by the end of February. This would be making probably $70k a year in CANADIAN dollars. I never thought that would be so important.

All you need is a modest house in a modest neighborhood

In a modest town where honest people dwell

--July 22---------Sent I-129F packet

--July 27---------Petition received

--August 28------NOA1 issued

--August 31------Arrived in Terrace after lots of flight delays to spend Lindsay's birthday with her

--October 10-----Completed address change online

--January 25-----NOA2 received via USCIS Case Status Online

Amusingly enough, I don't think that anyone at VSC thinks that.

Let's see......because this is not any fun.....You guys are the best but I can not even muster enough good thoughts about VSC to say hope anymore

O.k. I can see August but September and October....soon it will be december....or maybe preapprove February.......Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.....What F#$&^....

yeah,I see...but obviously it's gonna be easy for you guys to get your butt to Canada, if someday you decide that that's what you want. At least much easier than to get her a fiance or spouse visa for the US. So I'd definitely sit and wait now, it can't take much longer.

One day you guys might want to go back to the US and then you have to apply for a K3, and guess what? You'll be stuck in limbo...again!

That darn NOA2 can come any day now...

I don't have a clue what's going on.....that unfair processing of petitions is ridiculous. But there's really nothing we can do.

Mitch contacted his congressman's office the other day and sent them a privacy notice, but they didn't get very far.

VSC told them that our petition might be approved maybe in early March. When Mitch called me to let me know what his congressman had found out, I almost had a nervous breakdown.

But hey, seriously.....I won't allow this whole process and VSC to make me go nuts or get sick or whatever. I want to stay strong, I'm looking forward to my new life in the US, it will happen sooner or later....and at the end of the day:

we don't know what all of this is good for.

Everything is easier if you can believe that everything happens for a reason....

I am too angry to think of anything witty to add. Your posts have given me a much needed laugh today. I believe that something needs to be done about this process to make it faster and less stressful for all of us law abiding USC's & immigrants.

When I hear talk on t.v. about legalizing all the illegals in the US right now it makes my blood boil. To think that anyone would even consider just GIVING them citizenship while questioning and nit picking our relationships apart to the point of utter ridiculousness, charging us outrageous fees for each application (which duplicates info we've already given them) each step of the way, making us wait so freakin long, separating children from parents (in some situations i've read), using their subjective judgement like they're Gods determining our fates just boggles my mind.

I think that many forget the frustration and pain they went through once they receive that petition and join their fiances/spouses. (kind of like after giving birth lol) A lawsuit, inquiry or something that would aim for a smoother process (not money for anyone) and more equality in the processing of petitions submitted is needed desperately.

Wow you are just like me........I have 3 people working on inquiries via Congress for me.....I even said I would testify.......I have talked to the Immigration Lawyers Association....to interested in rocking the boat......and the ACLU is doingresearch on some kind of Constitutional thing.....I will not let this go after my petition is over and done....No way......It is an issue for me and I have the ear of a couple of people in Congress so that helps a little......I filed June 5.....and still waiting........I understand the anger....believe me

I keep typing what I feel in here, only to erase it. If I said what I wanted to say, I doubt DHS would be very happy with me.

Please let me know if anything comes of your struggles. I, too, would be more than happy to testify before congress if it gets that far. Something has to be done to correct this.

I ultimately decided to wait it out for a month. If I haven't heard anything by February 15th, you can call me a Canadian, eh.

I really can't believe it has come to that, but it has. I feel like if I do move up there, it's going to be for good.

I wonder if it would be possible to outsource USCIS to India. It would actually improve customer support. That's amazing.

It's amazing they are paid to give the kind of 'service' or assistance they give us. It's also a little scary as they are, as they say, in charge of protecting America.

Probably let an entire invading army in thinking it's only a marching band :)
