Freaky...more so of how he acts and what he says. The pictures might look interesting but to me the whole thing is disturbing.

What's disturbing about it?

All you need is a modest house in a modest neighborhood

In a modest town where honest people dwell

hugs, not and drugs.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

Senator Barack Obama
Senate Floor Speech on Public Debt

Hallucinogens are/can-be amazing mind-expanding experiences...the drawings depict the result of the artists imagination (as the drug took affect), but what he/she was experiencing at the time most assuredly was much more complex...

Did anyone here see the art exhibit of the painter whose descent in Alzheimer's-based dementia was chronicled in his painting, which went from realistic to abstract?

They said the same about Iris Murdoch. People were saying you could see the development of her disease manifest in her work.

No. Can you find out the name of the artist?

Painters like Van Gogh were probably poisoning themselves unknowingly with the lead in their paint as many of them would hold their brushes in their mouths.

I agree with that. Even people who've hallucinated from high fevers or epileptic seizures experience something that is much more than the hallucination itself.

That's incredible. I'm inspired. :)

Hopefully not to trip yourself. It's not something to be taken lightly or that I would recommend.

In the early 1970's I experimented with psilocybin mushrooms twice. I picked them myself in the woods, took them home, and later chewed them up with a mouthfull of Hawiian Punch drink with my friends. It was truely weird and at times terrifying. Psychedelics take your mind to places that some people shouldn't go. My first trip was OK and somewhat fun, but the second trip wasn't and I decided to end my experiments. It does expand the mind, but not always in a pleasant way. I would suggest that reading a good book would be a better use of time than tripping.

Friends and aquaintances that have done both psilocybin and LSD told me they had similar experiences with both. There was a guy I grew up with that took dozens of Acid trips in the early 1970's when LSD was easily available. I saw him many years later and he related to me that he regrets ever doing it. He gets "flashbacks" even though he hasn't taken it in years.

A lot of people were "inspired" to trip by Timothy Leary and others that publicized their experiences. I really wonder what opinion these people have of their experiences years later. Most of the people I know that tripped years ago in their youth would never do it now that they are older and wiser.

"Credibility in immigration policy can be summed up in one sentence: Those who should get in, get in; those who should be kept out, are kept out; and those who should not be here will be required to leave."

"...for the system to be credible, people actually have to be deported at the end of the process."

US Congresswoman Barbara Jordan (D-TX)

Testimony to the House Immigration Subcommittee, February 24, 1995

You're assuming that I haven't already too, but anyway, it was just an off-the-cuff remark.

I'll post my paintings if I change my mind though. :P
