Dear Joyce,

First, I want to remind you that God loves you (since god knows of the beauty of synthetic hair products and always appreciates macrame altars). That said, I wanted to ask you about a recent addition to our VJ world of peace and cool whip: HAL 9000. A source, which shall remain unknown, has told me that all of HAL 9000's knowledge about fashion, love in the age of Aquarius and *gasp* sex comes from a replica of your memories. Is that so? Or was it just that you and HAL used to hang out at Studio 54 before he became famous? Are you still homies? What is the REAL story of Joyce and HAL 9000>

And if it is not too much bravery to ask: how can I get my husband off the cookies n' cream? I would like to entice him with more sensual flavors like tutti-frutti, but I have seen him sneaking off bed to eat cookies n' cream

Ms. Torn Between God and Techno

Dear Ms. Torn Between God and Techno:

Goodness! Many questions!

Let me set the record straigth about HAL 9000. Yes, we did hang out at Studio 54, and I vividly remembering winking at him after that naked lady on the horse passed by. (I tried to hand her a synthetic poncho, but she was a bit distracted!) But it was purely innocent! We chatted briefly about the best socks to wear under platforms, and whether the man-purse would ever take off. (Yes, I said! And I was right!!!) As for the replica of my memories, goodness! Well, he did enjoy all kinds of mystery cakes and puddings at Studio 54, so who knows?

Who is Cookies 'n' Cream? Is that a stage name? It sounds like it's time to have a talk with your husband! Don't be shy, assert yourself!

Love,

(F) Joyce (F)

p.s. Macrame altars, I like it!

p.p.s. What's techno?

If HAL 9000 may add:

Joyce had some of her massive wisdom downloaded onto one of my drives for the sake of humanity. Hence I rather enjoy recommending Cool Whip at times although my circuits prefer the heavier, more electron rich concoction known as sweetend condensed milk.

For the history-savy, perhaps Len is confusing me, a HAL 9000, with one of my early predecessors- the Commodore 64 series.

Goodness! I am a big fan of the Commodores! (Lionel Richie, *rowr!!!*)

Massive wisdom, goodness!

I'll avoid that comment about sweetened condensed milk. Too much of that, and you won't be able to fit into your sequined glad rags!

Love,

dear Joyce,

Instead of go looking for it, my husband woke me up at 630am this morning because he lost his car keys and he wanted mine. I asked him if he looked in the most obvious place, (after cussing him for a few mintues, of course), and of course, he didn't go look for it, and it was there.

What kind of punishment should he get?

Thank you, Joyce. HAL 9000 appreciates the referrence to daddy Ritchie. Although not in my programming, there may be a reason why at times I find myself reciting the following:"Are you somewhere feeling lonely or is someone loving you? "

*Computerized LOL*

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

Dear Nessa preggalicious (is that you, Mrs. #######?):

That's easy: Withhold the Cool Whip for 24 hours! See what happens then!

(Follow-up plan: Threaten to wear cotton in a public venue!)

Dearest Joyce,

Knowing that I should always look for your wisdom and innate fashion sense; I thought I would ask you something that has troubled me for the last couple of days.

On my smoke breaks, I watch the students go by, showing off their ideas of "what to wear". Needless to say, most of this generation's ladies favor natural fibers ; but I have seen 4 or 5 wearing *gasp* leg warmers.

Tell me oh Joyce: are leg warmers in again? Should I buy some to complement my Winter wardrobe? Or should I stop those students and correct their ways?

Thanks, your devoted fan, Mrs. Redhead.

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).
