Dear Joyce,

You seem to have abandoned us, your devoted fans. It is a very sad day here on Visa Journey as we are cast adrift in a loney sea with no voice of clarity to guide us in the troubled times. With all the problems in the economy I can only assume that you had to take on a second job at the Cool Whip factory to make ends meet.

I wish you the best, dear Joyce, and miss you even more.

Love,

Julez (F)

Dear Joyce,

Goodness, its been ages since we, your fans, have heard from your good self.

I am wondering if you have any advice on how to survive the remainder of this election season? It seems no matter where I turn I am blasted with ugly news from the campaign trail and I am growing weary. What do you make of all this?

Joyce, I know in troubled times I can always turn to you for a calming word and a polyester outfit.

Love,

julez

Dear julez:

It's nice to hear from you! I hope that you're doing well and showing off your loveliness in layers of polyester with leather accents (hot!). To be honest, I haven't paid a lot of attention to the campaign trail, because I've been on my own trail of sorts--the Eastern European lounge bar trail! We're now in Moldova, and I've already found my favorite bar! It's called Groovy, and the charming young bartender, Viku (who admired my helmet), makes one strong G&T! Goodness! See you in a couple of hours, Viku! *wink!!*

One thing I haven't found in Europe is Cool Whip. I mentioned this to a friendly shopkeeper in Transnistria (admittedly, there was something of a language problem), and he produced a tub of sour cream! Goodness! But I can understand the confusion. I promised to express-mail him some Cool Whip in dry ice so that he can taste this North American delight. Although it's possible he thought I was trying to schedule a tryst.

My recommendation is to turn your attention away from the campaign trail and to your own trail--toward Cool Whip and enlightenment!

Love,

(F) Joyce (F)

Goodness, thank you Dean!

You know, I never received your special organic helmet paste. I suspect my mailman took it; he is a bit vain, and I think he's trying to construct his own Joycian Helmet. Would you mind sending another batch?

Thanks!

Dear Joyce

Why does Ms Palin eschew your dress code of polyester in favour of silks and linens? Does this betray an inner insecurity do you suppose?

Yours clinging to the synthetics

Cleo (Your fortune is my pleasure)

Dear Cleo:

Goodness! Silks and linens?! Who is this Ms. Palin? Is she a kindergarten teacher? If so, she should know that children develop their fashion sense from a very young age, and she's stunting their growth in this area by displaying silks and linens. I suggest contacting the superintendent.

And kudos to you for clinging to the synthetics! You are a woman of great wisdom!

Love,

(F) Joyce (F)

Yours,

Just Yer Average Hockey Mom

Dear Hockey Mom:

Are you Ms. Palin, the kindergarten teacher? If so, please read the above re: impressionable young students and choice of clothing.

Now, I admire your creativity, but why on earth would you want to put lipstick on a pitbull? That seems like a waste of make-up, and while I'm no dog expert, wouldn't a pitbull find that violating? I say, save the lipstick for yourself, and please consider adding some polyester jumpsuits to your wardrobe. I know that such a shift can be jarring to someone reliant on silks and linens, but you have to start somewhere!

Good luck!

Love,

(F) Joyce (F)

p.s. Do you have a pipe organ?
