Sarah, maybe you just haven't heard the right stuff yet. I can't stand "classical" Moroccan music, the kind they play on holidays and stuff. Whenever it's on 2M at night (Maj watches it on our computer sometimes) I just want to turn it off!

You might find if you branch out to some of the more pop-y stuff, like Samira Said, Khaled, and some of the Egyptian music that you'll like it more.

Then again, maybe it's just not for you...Even though I like the Arabic music I've found, given my preference I'm still listening to Springstein, Cat Stevens, Cuban music, and this awesome CD I have from the South Pacific islands.

We'll see... but for me anything in another language is hard for me to stay interested in. How can I sing along in Arabic!? I'm pretty picky when it comes to music. Whenever I go to Morocco I hear the "pop" music where the only word I can make out or understand is "habibi", at which point it just goes downhill from there for me. For now I'm pretty satisfied with what I've got, but maybe if I hear the right song then Arabic music will become my new favorite!

I have an american friend who just loves arabic music, she doesn't understand the words or even know them. LOLOL:lol: but whenever she hears a song, she starts lipsyncing the words and you would swear that she knows them. She is pretty animated about it too, it's so funny,.

Don't yell at me for asking this on this thread, but I need some serious help.

How do I put a small picture on the left side under my name and above my "rank"? I'm trying to jazz things up a little if you know what I mean.

Also, Hicham hates Arabic music so that's probably why I don't like it either. We never listen to it. I'm gonna try those radio stations though.
