I am going through all of my evidence in preparation to submit the I-129A and I-130 and am wondering how much to include with the initial petition - should I include everything we have up to this date(it will be a LOT) or should I just include a few representative items and save the rest for the interview? Since we were together for only two weeks after our wedding and have been apart for the last 5 months we don't have any conjoined resources, so all that I have is basically K-1 type stuff:passport stamps and visas from my two trips to Nepal, boarding passes, receipts from restaurants and hotels in KTM, bank records showing ATM withdrawals and charges at Nepali banks, in addition to chat and email copies, Western Union receipts and labels from packages we have sent each other. We don't have phone records since we have been using prepaid phone cards. Of course we also have the marriage certificate and wedding photos, as well as photos with his family and from our travels. So should I include all this stuff(copies) at the beginning or should I save it for the interview, when I will also be presenting more email, chat and phone logs(now that I have signed up with Pingo, which keeps a call record) covering the period from filing to interview?

Just my $.02...

It's fairly easy to prove you've met within the past two years and it sounds like you have that completely covered.

I would (and did) submit a bit of evidence of an ongoing relationship with the original petition. As a wise old VJer used to say (paraphrasing): the petition package is the first thing the CO is going to see, and having a little bit of the flavor of your relationship may be advisable. He was also careful to stress that you don't want to provide anything that is going to raise any red flags or cause problems later.

I submitted copies of a few sorta mushy letters from each of us, and a smattering of emails and a couple of phone bills. I also wrote a longish (1.5 pages) answer to question 18 about how we met, and an addendum about my husband's culture's marriage customs to help address what I felt were our red flags.

I also wouldn't (and didn't) submit everything - really just a few things - for two reasons: first, I didn't want to make the petition-reviewer's job burdensome, and second, I wanted to have a nice hefty amount of additional evidence for the interview.

I think the USCIS petition review is fairly straightforward. The Consular review is based more on subjective things - a sense of the couple, intuition, that kind of thing - so personally, I think it is to the couple's advantage to help the CO feel the love, as it were, in any way they can and as early on as they can. And the petition package is the first impression.

Best wishes mero satthi!

Danyavaad Maya for your as usual very helpful reply!

I think I will write a longer Question 18 like you did and keep the initial evidence to a minimum. Like I said we don't have any of the evidence that a couple living in the same country would have but I think I will submit maybe 4-8 photos, affidavits fom my roommate and mom, marriage certificate and just a few emails/chats.
