Cerified translations?

I had to get translations for a few documents in my K-3 submission. I had the translator make a handwritten note that the translation was accurate and sign it but it is not exactly what the USCIS suggests as a format. I did also have the translations notarized for whatever that is worth.

I am a little concerned. Anyone have any problems with translations? If so, what was the issue and how did you resolve it?

Sounds fine, USCIS only needs a simple note certifying the translations are accurate.

If you are speaking of a US notary, it is the translator's signature that is notarized, not the translation.

I don't think you would have any problems - was the translator a 'certified translator'? Montreal required my documents be translated by someone certified by one of the provincial bodies. Your case might be different though.

Then, to what fact(s) did the Notary attest?

I suppose the signature but maybe the translation as well...not sure as my wife handled that.
