Hello all....

Finally at the embassy stage of this wonderful journey and I just had a few questions...

1. My fiance got her packet from her embassy....in the packet it instructs her to send back a few forms that she needs to fill in online....it then goes on to say that once all items on the checklist have been completed to mail it back.....so the question is...do people actually do that..do they wait until after the medical..or do people just send the checklist back right away??? I guess what it seems like is that we are in a dead spot now with nothing really happening....we have to wait for the medical...do we get on the waiting list for an interview only after the checklist is sent back?...or after she mails the first couple of forms back??

2. second....I know that I have to complete the affidavit of support...so does this go with her to the embassy on her interview date?...or do I have to mail it in prior to the interview?....

3. Finally on the Affidavit of support...they ask for the amount of mortgages or encumrances...does this mean every student loan, bank loan, and so on or are they mostly interested in just mortgages??

Thank you all for responses......hope most of you are in a country other than Canada like us....so you don't have to put up with a 4-6 month wait for an interview date....oh well....

she will take the affidavit of support to the interview. Once you are above the poverty level you just need to fill in your monthly salary and leave the others blank. That's what we did. I think you should post your questions on the canada thread. Good luck.
