Hey everyone,

I want to make a topic for all US citizen filing for there fiance/fiancee in Hong Kong and all fiance/fiancee in Hong Kong.

I filed my K1 last week December 12. I want to know what's everyone doing after filing there K1. I'm bought a house this month and remodeling and cleaning the house will kill time for me.

If anyone have issues with Hong Kong consulate or related issues, post them.

Thanks for reading and I wish everyone good luck with this long process.

12/13/07 - VSC received packet I-129F (Now I'm waiting for my check to cash)

12/14/07 - VSC Check cashed

12/18/07 - Touched

02/17/08 - Touched OMG I got touched

04/02/08 - WOOT NOA2 ^^

04/03/08 - Touched

Can't recall everything that went on but...

About 07/11/08 - My wife first step on USA

...

We're at the process where we will have an interview for my wife 10 year visa. My wife already have her 2 years condition green card and her Social Security #.

Just sit back and go on with life while waiting for the petition to make it's way through the system.

Chatted alot on line.

I Also Joined the Chinese immigrations specific board "A Candle for Love" to learn more about the immigrations process out of China and Hong Kong.

Hi,

Actually I have a question about HONGKONG!

I still cant figure out what are the Province and the Country for HK.

My dad is from HK and mom is from Japan.

I was born in HK but moved to Japan when I was little.

We did get our NOA2 from USCIS but my fiance and I still have no idea what to write for my "Place of birth."

I wrote HongKong for Province and HongKong SAR for Country for I-129F.

We really need to know the right answers before my interview just in case... :wacko:

ALSO...Is Kowloon a city? Or just a district?

HK is a Special Administrative Region of PRC China, it is treated like a separate country by the mainland. Province is Hong Kong.

Sounds like you filled it out correctly.
