Still No Biometric Letter--Starting to Worry

Ok, we got the NOA letter from the CSC on October 30th and I had actually got two of them with two different receipt numbers. So I waited and waited and did not get any Biometrics information. Decided to call and got transferred to a second customer service department and the guy told me the reason of the two different receipt number was because they had made an error and the second letter was the correct one. I asked him to check and see if my wife's Bio letter had been mailed, he did and said no.. This was done around late November. So waiting and waiting and still no Bio letter. I Decided last week to call the customer service number again and got a Case number assigned, but still nothing...

I am beginning to worry and somehow think they have screwed things over.. What should I do? My wife's 2 year green card expires on January 8th.

Is this typical waiting time for a Biometrics??

Please help!

Thanks

Hard to say what's going on but try not to freak-out just yet!

The NOA should extend your stay for one year so this is not an immediate problem.

As I review eau-xplain's time line by service center, it appears that biometrics are being scheduled for 2 months out from recipt and sending of NOA.

We sent ours ALSO from Atlanta to TSC on 11/5 and it was received at TSC on 11/8. Check was cashed by CSC (obviously transferred) on 11/26 and NOA was received on 12/1 (dated 11/8). Biometrics letter was received 12/17 with appt scheduled for 1/8/08.

I think that you have to give it a bit more time since you got a new receipt. Remember the NOA covers your 1 year extension ... you can easily make an Infopass Appt for after the first of the year if nothing arrives by then!

Good luck!
