A sad day when children are blamed for the choices of their parents. I don't mean by the immigration system (don't wanna get into that) but by people around here.

Exactly why I DO care, more. I waited & paid fees & filled out proper documentation to do it LEGALLY. Anyone who evades the system makes our process harder/longer/more costly.

and he's killing time getting 3 degrees KNOWING he's illegal & can't get a proper job.

Of course it's the child's fault, they are children of illegals, that's the fault that matters, that's the fault that these people care about. Nothing else really matters, you know, humanitarian issues, blah blah blah. Still, it's not like anyone with any power is every going to espouse their views and get funding to implement them so I wouldn't worry too much.

I understand the point Becca is making here. At 13 he is not in control of his situation, let alone the legality of it all. By the time he reaches full adulthood the USA is pretty much all he remembers - it's a tough call really and I'm not entirely sure we should be making accusations or judgements about a situation we know very little about.

Not everything is black and white, dots and stripes, left and right.
