Hello everyone

I got my NOA2 almost a week ago, I was sssooooo happy when I got the email from CRIS(USCIS)!!

Now I am just waiting to get the package,so that I can start the next step.

I know it takes a while for them to forward cases to NVC and to the embassy in Japan...

But I need some help on this :help:

I dont know how I can know when they mail my case to NVC or when NVC mail them to the embassy in Japan...

I already registered at USCIS to get an update by email.... So when they finished forwarding my case to NVC, they are gonna email me and let me know??

Or is there another way to find it out???

I appreciate you with any help.

Thank you!!

No, USCIS will not give you any further updates by email about your case. Be prepared to wait a few weeks for your case to be forwarded to NVC, many have had to wait around 6 weeks. (We had to wait 5). CSC waits until they can fill a large crate with cases before shipping them off the NVC. You can wait a few weeks and call the NVC and speak to a customer service representative and give them your CSC case number and they can tell you if they have your case. Also, some people have called CSC to see if their papers were forwarded, but sometimes they weren't told anything or were given inaccurate information. You will eventually receive a letter from NVC that says they received your case and will forward it and with it, it has a new case number. Once you receive this letter, you can be pretty much sure that you're case has left NVC.

You can also call the Dept. of State (DOS) after a few weeks to see if NVC has it. The number is (202)663-1225. It's sometimes easier to get through at DOS than NVC. As stated above, you'll need to wait a few weeks at least. After 4 weeks, and being assured by CSC that my case was sent to NVC on Nov 6th, I later found that either CSC or NVC (each said the other) had "misplaced" my file. It was finally found 10 days later.

Congrats on the NOA2!!

Your best bet is perhaps a call to the NVC (although I've never tried calling DoS)
