I am now surprised by what NVC did today. I called the automated system today and it said they generated the IV Bill on Dec. 17. :o

This message from the NVC "...due to system limitations, the NVC will not be sending out any Immigrant Visa Processing Fee Bills until January 1, 2008." That's just wrong to say this to people, why are they doing this to people?

The NVC should confirm with a supervisor or higher up before sending messages like that!

Not sure what is going on with the NVC except to say it appears they have already gone on holiday. I called last week and was told the customary wait for 4-6 weeks call us back if you do not receive anything by mid January. Today i checked the automated system and it now says wait 6-8 weeks. SO i called, was told by the operator she is now sure why, came as a surprise to her that the system says 6-8 weeks. She was essentially clueless.

I guess we will all have to wait until January for them to do any additional work, our files will just sit there until then gathering dust.
