Google Earth To Feel Closer

Just curious how many ever use Google Earth to look at your S/Os home or city? Maybe you pretend like I you can use it like a magic snow globe (like in the movie "The Santa Clause") to check on them, look in on them and give them a good night kiss. I also like to revisit places we've walked around or visited together. Helps me feel closer sometimes. Sigh...

It's been almost 6 months since I last held my Alla. Just feeling a tad lonely and romantic tonight. (F)

Hi, Jeffrey.

I've tried... Satellite images aren't any good in her area, though... Or the area where I grew up... They have the links to the pictures of landmarks and stuff though, that's kinda cool...

I'm in the slumps too... But knowing that we'll be together permanently sometime (relatively) soon is what keeps my spirits up. Hoping the best for you as well. Hang in there

Cheers,

When I was back home going through the Visa process, my dad wanted to google earth Mel's house. I was showing him all the blue roofs and how all the trailers were still lined up in peoples front yards along our street. When I pointed out Mels house and he started zooming in- all of a sudden I panicked and hoped the pics weren't taken on a day I was outside suntanning naked.

Thankfully they weren't.

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

I never used it but Neil got on there a few months ago to show my mom where we lived

I showed my parents where Randy lived, I also showed them where he worked plus places I had visited while I was over there. Sometimes I just go on there to bring back memories while I wait to move. A bit like looking back at photos I think.

Even if were out sunbathing. The resolution would be so poor, at that zoom level, he could not make out anything any way! Your dad would have never noticed! But it is still quite funny!

It is odd in our area because the images were taken at really different times. Where they seamed it together, it looks silly. Summer on one side of the road and the dead of winter on the other.

I really enjoy looking around my fiancée's city and revisting. I always look at the dots in her neighburhood and wonder if one of them is her. I always wish it could be real time, stronger resolutiion, and she could look up and wave! That would be super cool! B) But if that were the case, you'd really have to worry about that sunbathing!

Hey Jeffery,

Know exactly how you feel. It was eight months between visits when I finally got there in September when we got married. Seems like it's even worse now than before we got married. Will ba at least February before I can get back.
