Guys,

I applied for my 10 year GC on Jan 11, 2007 at NSC. My 2 year conditional GC expires in March 2008. If I don't get my 10 year GC by March, 2008, would I get an extension on my conditional? Automatically or do I have to apply for that? For how long, another year?

Thanks for all the help! I feel so violated and frustrated...

March 2008 because it was extended for 1 year from March 2007. Which is why I applied in Jan 2007 which is within 90 days from the 2 year anniv in March 2007.

You'll need to make an Infopass appointment in order to get a stamp in your passport at your local office which will extend your conditional residency for another year.

TIMELINE

I-751 (removing conditions on residency):

December 17, 2006: Sent I-751 to NSC

December 27, 2006: NOA1 date

January 20, 2007: Biometrics appointment

January 29, 2008: Card production ordered

February 5, 2008: New card received.

N-400 (Citizenship):

December 18, 2007: Sent N-400 to NSC

December 19, 2007: Received date & Priority date

December 26, 2007: Notice date - 100 days

January 24, 2008: Biometrics appointment

February 25, 2008: Interview notice received

May 28, 2008: Interview (Chicago, IL) - PASSED

June 24, 2008: Oath letter received

July 1, 2008: Oath ceremony, application for US Passport filled at local post office

I think it is just a language mix-up. The expiration date on your Green Card should be March 2007 and that is what raymag refered to. The NOA showed then the extension of your status for one year, until March 2008. If you haven't received a GC until then, your best choice is probably to make an infopass appointment at your local office and get a stamp in your passport, as Bertrand has already recommended.

Could you add your data also, please, to the thread under

If you don't feel comfortable with formatting the entire table in fixed font, just post a note with your dates of application, NOA, and biometrics and ask for someone knowledable to include them into the table. Your case seems to be another one from NSC that is in contradiction to the published process date from NSC.
