Hello VJrs!

My husband Mike (in school in Canada, from Ireland) made a successful cross over the through customs in Toronto. (he's come here for a few days before flying home for the holidays)

What he had with him: complete copies of the I-130 and I-129f petitions; lease; student visa for Canada; proof of flight from USA.

What he needed (naturally): nothing!

Conversation: (after he passed over the customs declaration and passport)

Customs agent: What is the purpose of your visit?

Mike: Visiting family.

CA: When are you leaving?

M: Friday.

CA: When were you last in the US?

M: August and September of this year.

Then she scanned his prints/retina/passport, and said "Enjoy your stay" and that was it.

We don't know if our petition is actually logged in the system, however, as she didn't bat her eye when pulling up his information (he was looking keenly at her in anticipation after she scanned his passport). We have an NOA1 for the I-129f but not for the I-130 so I don't know. But that's what happened, for folks looking to do same.

Hi Rhiannon, congratulations on your successful visit. By the way, has your checked being cashed for your I-130?Have you heard anything on your K-3 since Vermont received your I-129F? Thanks in advance for your reply.
