Getting married and immigration issues are separate. For marriage, check with the local County Clerk where you would obtain a marriage license to see what documents you would need to marry in that jurisdiction.

Your visa category won't change automatically.

If your decision to marry occured after you were already in the US, you may remain here and simply adjust status to Legal Permanent Resident. See the appropriate "guide" by clicking "Guide" at the top of any page here.

If your decision to marry occured before your latest US entry, you will need to decide whether to marry now, here, elsewhere or later and then follow the visa process appropriate to your decision about marriage timing and location.

So, did your marriage decision occur before or after your last entry? If before, are you prepared to remain in the US for six months or so without leaving?

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...

A visa is a document that gives you permission to present yourself at the border station and request entry into a country. Since you are here, you would not apply for a different visa unless you plan to leave and re-enter.
