I've put this locally, but as my time is running for the interview, i try here, maybe somebody had this experience elsewhere. For the immigration interview, they request among others:

1. Medical records

2. Immunization history

etc

For no. 1, i don't have a family dr. and the medical records I tried to get in various health places i've been years ago, they told me they destroy them after 5 years. I only can give a verbal statement to the official dr.

My question is, i don't have any choice but to go to a new dr and make ALL the exams, that he'll send to the appointed dr for the official medical exam.

Anyone had this happened? or any advice would be much appreciated.

ps, for no. 2, i have all the info needed.

For #1 you will be required to get a medical exam before the interview, so records not needed.

For #2 you will need to either provide a record of vaccination at the medical exam, or get vaccinated for the visa.

Immigrant visas require vaccinations for specific diseases the required vaccinations are age specific.

For most:

  • Mumps, Measles, Rubella (MMR)
  • Tetanus and diptheria toxoids
  • Varicella

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

Hi,

in my (Paris) experience, I was not asked for any medical records during the interview.

However, I did ask previously the same question you are asking now - because when I filled the medical questionnaire (at the medical exam), there was a sentence there about bringing medical records to the interview if you ever have been hospitalized or had a surgery. I had both a surgery and hospitalization. However, I think it is up to the doctor who conducts the medical. If your hospitalization/surgery was nothing serious, then he marks something on the paperwork and then you will not be asked during the interview.

If you have a serious condition though, it is better to have the records ready... and bring them to the medical!

I don't know why you need to present your medical history from previous doctors....My husband just had to go to a doctor that the Embassy told him to see for a physical. Do a physical, show his immunization shots record. Afterwards, take those test results to the interview.
