Has anyone here ever had pizza without cheese? Anyway, I had read something somewhere about someone who ordered their pizza without cheese, so I tried it last night. Ham and Pineapple, pizza hut - no cheese.

Anyway, it's pretty darn good! We usually have Dominoes - so the only down side was that pizza hut has large pieces of ham which, probably due to the lack of cheese, dry out a bit around the edges.

We don't have pizza very often but calories in pizza are so huge I just decided this might be a good way to cut back on some.

Next i'll try it without the crust :hehe:

I have a couple of boxes still in my freezer, so you might want to check your grocery store for at least a good substitution. They are pretty much the exact same thing...

will do!

as for toothpaste i wouldnt know when i moved i brought about 8 tubes of the kind i use and havent run out yet. i also dont share that with brian! lol

i do know however that they dont sell my tooth brush so i have to buy those when i visit back home lol. even my dentist saw it and was like "OHH get me one i havent been able to find those any where"

It tastes completely different, in my humble humble opinion. :) The American version has a weird tang to it. (I am talking Colgate Total here)

I dont like our tap water!! Its ok, but prefer to use the Brita or bottle water!!

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

I drink our tap water daily. Perfectly fine for me. I do remember south Texas though where it seemed heavily chlorinated though, but where I live, the water is good...

hah i live in a place that is notorious for bad water too... we have to buy bottled water to drink , cook with, feed our pets...

if i boil our water from the tap, to say , make pasta, ill get huge beads of calcium and it turns our pots white. i could leave a glass full of water on the counter and with in hours it will be empty and the glass will be frosted white. ( yeah humidity is bad in our place too)

i think this is one of the only places that has made me feel dirtier-- and itchier-- after showering. gogo hard water.

i also fear laundry/dishes... our dispensers are covered in calcium residue, and our dishes are never actually clean. i wish jet dry worked :( lol

cant you tell im just loving living in the states? oO

the bottled water still is hard water, but no where near as bad. we buy a 5 gallon jug each week for a dispenser and cooking purposes, it always has a bit of trace calcium, either in our machine/ dispenser or if i over boil it. the personal bottled water however is nice and yummy.

i miss tap water :(

We live in Calgary which seems to have pretty good water - however, we now have a cooler and have water delivered every month for drinking. I found the water was giving me indigestion (even the brita couldn't make the water right)!

Hey Natalie, for the dishes, when my dishwasher seems to be getting sluggish I run a load (full load) and add about 2 cups (at least) of vinegar, works like a charm. Calgary's water is very hard but it sounds like yours is extra special - so might want to try that once a week or so (or even a bit in every load)

Yeah, DC/Northern VA water does suck, doesn't it? But as with everything else it all depends on where you are in the states. Believe it or not NYC has great water and I miss it! Legend has it that the water is why the bagels are so good too.
